I started photographing and drawing light through leaves during my stays at Studio Panicale in Italy. I developed a series of large charcoal drawings during lockdown - going to Stormont and photographing lime trees and  lilies and I continue to add to it from time to time. I love the textures, the play of light and details in the leaves. I have painted them in watercolour and using Chinese ink but I keep coming back to drawing in charcoal and pencil.
